The MDG Achievement and Poverty Reduction team works to support National Sustrainable Development Strategies by:
- Strengthening capacity for evidence-based policy analysis and formulation;
- Policy advice on pro-poor macroeconomic policies;
- The preparation of national poverty reduction and sustainable development strategies;
- Facilitating regional cooperation in finding solutions to ameliorate the impact of economic shocks on the poor.
