MDG Achievement and Poverty Reduction
The Pacific MDG Network has now been established as a result of participants of the  2009 ESCAP/ADB/UNDP Pacific MDG Workshop: Taking Stock, Emerging Issues and Way Forward identifying the need to better share Pacific-specific knowledge of the MDGs. The Pacific MDG Network will allow MDG practitioners from partner governments, NGOs and CSOs from 14 Pacific Island Countries to extend the culture of regional collaboration by sharing experiences, best practices and lessons learnt over the network to assist in achievement of the MDGs.

The Pacific MDG Network has close synergies with the Asia-Pacific MDG Community of Practice. As a member of the Pacific MDG Network you will receive and can contribute to the Asia-Pacific MDG Community of Practice. The Pacific MDG Network has been developed to provide a forum for specific matters of the Pacific that can be shared and as such membership is limited to MDG practitioners from respective countries, NGOs, CSOs, regional organizations or UN Agencies in the Pacific.

How Do I Join the Network?
If you are a Pacific-based MDG practitioner from a Country, NGO, CSO, regional organization or UN Agency, please send an email to Jessica, our Knowledge Management Officer, on jessica.robbins@undp.org titled "Request to join Pacific MDG Network" and include your name, organisation and country.
